Which class should I book?
If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, we recommend starting with:

Fundamentals
Jumpboard (Beginner-friendly option)
These are ideal for easing into Pilates and learning how to use the reformer correctly.Tower
All classes are available at both sites, except Tower which is at Heckmondwike only.
Our Elevate class is an intermediate class.
We also have the following mat classes at Heckmondwike which are suitable for all abilities:
Vinyasa
Mat Pilates
Dumbbells
How many classes should I do each week?
If you’re just starting out, aim for 1–2 classes per week to allow your body time to adapt.
As you grow more confident, 3-4 classes weekly is a great routine for results and progression.
Do you have a car park?
Yes we do at both sites.
Our Heckmondwike car park is directly opposite the studio entrance.
Our Batley car park is along the side and back of the studio, currently sign posted as Dickys gym as we share the car park with them.
Please be mindful of others when parking.
Do you have changing facilities?
We have changing rooms at Heckmondwike.
Our Batley studio is a boutique studio, we don't have a changing room, however you are welcome to use the toilet to get changed.
Feel free to come ready or change once you arrive. Both sites have a space for you to leave your belongings.
How do I book classes?

Once registered, you’ll be able to view our timetable, book, cancel and buy class credits or memberships.
How early can I book classes?
Classes are released 4 weeks in advance.
We recommend booking early, our peak classes tend to fill quickly!
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your class to avoid losing a credit. All credits and non refundable and non transferable.
Late cancels or no-shows are charged as standard across most fitness studios.
MEMBERSHIP PERK: Where you need to cancel a class with less than 24 hours notice, the credit will be returned to you if we replace your space with someone of the wait list. Where we do not hear from you, a £5 no show fee applies.

Do weather conditions affect booking or cancellations?
We know adverse weather like snow or ice can make travel unpredictable, and your safety is always our priority.
Our standard 24-hour cancellation policy still applies if you choose not to attend a class due to weather and the studio remains open. This is because our instructors are self-employed and rely on the planned class running, so we apply the policy fairly to all bookings.
If we need to cancel a class because of weather or operational reasons (e.g., low bookings), we’ll let you know by email/SMS and your credit will be returned automatically.
To help avoid issues during colder months, we recommend booking classes on the day if the forecast is uncertain.
Are the classes female only?
We have female only and mixed classes. All classes are mixed unless otherwise stated. Male only classes are available on request.
Can I book private 1:1 sessions?
Yes, we offer private one-to-one sessions tailored to your goals, injuries, or comfort level.

Can I book the studio for a private party?
Absolutely, we offer studio party hire at both sites.

Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Samata Pilates! By booking a class, purchasing a bundle, or becoming a member, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

SECTION 1 APPLIES TO ALL (unless stated otherwise)
This applies to all bookings including 1-2-1, pay as you go, private booking, monthly memberships (unless stated otherwise) and bundles.
You must be 18+ to attend any session.
All sessions must be pre-booked via our app or website.
LATENESS.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be admitted and the session will not be refunded or re-credited. This is for your safety and class continuity.
CANCELLATION POLICY AND CREDITS
24-hour notice required to cancel any session (classes, 1:1s, bundles, etc.).
Cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive the session back as credit (valid for 60 days for pay as you go credits, membership credits are on a monthly basis). Where less than 24 hours notice is provided, the credit will be lost. (Members get a membership perk: please check membership terms and conditions).
1:1 sessions may have a different cancellation window – your instructor will confirm.
If we need to cancel a class, we’ll notify you by email or SMS with at least 1 hours’ notice (unless due to emergency).
Adverse Weather Conditions
Our standard cancellation policy (24-hour notice) applies to all bookings, including cancellations due to adverse weather conditions where the studio remains open. If the studio cancels a class due to weather or other operational reasons (including low bookings or instructor unavailability), the session will be cancelled by the studio and your credit will be returned.All class credits are strictly non-transferable and may only be used by the individual who purchased them. Credits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
NO SHOW POLICY.
Missed two classes in 4 weeks without cancelling or contacting us?
→ You’ll be blocked from booking for 2 weeks.
→ Applies to all bookings (Members penalty varies: please check membership terms and conditions).
Grip Socks Required
Grip socks are mandatory for reformer classes.
Bare feet are not allowed.
Socks are available for purchase on the app.
Studio Etiquette
No food or drink in class, except water in sealed bottles.
No alcohol or drug use — you will be refused entry and no refund will be given.
We reserve the right to suspend or ban clients who violate studio rules or endanger others.
Bundles
Bundles must be paid in full upfront.
Sessions must be used within the stated expiry period – no extensions, transfers, or refunds.
Bundles are valid for the classes available at the time of purchase
Offers & Promotions
Offers are one-time use only, non-transferable and non-refundable.
They cannot be combined with other deals.
If misused, full pay-as-you-go rates will apply.
Offers may change or be withdrawn without notice.
Discount codes: Where a discount or promotional code is offered, it must be entered at the time of purchase in the discount code box. The price must update before the transaction is completed. Purchases completed without the code applied will be charged at full price, and discounts cannot be added afterwards.
Complimentary Classes, Promotions & Challenge Prizes
From time to time, Samata Pilates may offer complimentary classes, promotional credits, competition prizes, challenge rewards, or goodwill gestures (together referred to as “Complimentary Classes”). These may be issued to clients, competition winners, or challenge participants and are provided at no cost. All Complimentary Classes are subject to the following terms, in addition to all other studio policies:
• Complimentary Classes are issued on a use-it-or-lose-it basis and are subject to a zero cancellation policy. Once booked, they cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, credited, or reinstated for any reason.
• Failure to attend a booked Complimentary Class will result in the class being forfeited.
• Complimentary Classes, including competition or challenge prizes, are non-transferable and may only be used by the named client.
• Complimentary Classes hold no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, refunds, account credit, memberships, or alternative services.
• Where Complimentary Classes form part of a challenge prize or competition reward, they must be used within the stated validity period and may be withdrawn if terms are not met.
• All standard studio rules, safety requirements, and conduct expectations apply when using Complimentary Classes.
• Samata Pilates reserves the right to amend, withdraw, or refuse Complimentary Classes at its discretion.
Complimentary classes, promotional credits and challenge prizes are offered at the discretion of the studio and are subject to availability. All challenges require members to meet the stated criteria in full. Only classes that are successfully attended count towards challenge completion. Classes cancelled by the studio (including cancellations due to low booking numbers and made in line with our minimum notice period) do not count as attendance for challenges or promotions. It remains the member’s responsibility to attend an alternative eligible class within the challenge timeframe. No extensions, substitutions, or automatic attendance credits will be applied due to studio cancellations or personal scheduling limitations.

Monthly Membership Terms and Conditions
Membership Agreement
• By signing up for the monthly membership at Samata Pilates, you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined below. Membership grants you and only you access to the stated classes only. Memberships can not be shared with or transferred to anyone else.
Members photos must be added to your profile on the app/website.
Minimum term: 3 months.
After 3 months, your membership continues monthly until cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. Where notice is given part way through the month, the 30 days notice will start from the date the next membership month starts.
Early cancellation AFTER the first 3 months will incur a £25 admin fee.
Memberships cannot be cancelled or paused in the first 3 months.

Bookings will pause if your account is in arrears.
• Membership type cannot be downgraded in the first 3 months.
Upgrades can be requested anytime. Any changes must be requested in writing by email (hello@samatapilates.co.uk) to Samata Pilates and will take effect from the next billing date. Any change will reset the 3-month term..
• It is the members responsibility to keep their payment and contact details up to date on their profile. Any changes can be updated on the app or by contacting Samata Pilates.
• Membership PERKS do not apply to competition winners.
• It is the members responsibility to notify the studio of any changes to their physical fitness and ability to exercise safely.
Payments
Monthly fee is fixed and billed on the same date each month.
Failed payment? Your class access is suspended until resolved.
Missed days/classes are not reimbursed or extended.
Membership Cancellations
After 3 months, cancel with 30 days’ notice via email. The 30 days begins from the first day of the next membership month.
For less than 30 days notice (after the first 3 months) a £25 fee applies.
No refunds for unused classes or partial months.
Credits do not roll over and cannot be transferred.
Failure to Provide Notice / Unauthorised Payment Cancellation:
• If a member cancels their direct debit or otherwise ceases payment without providing the required 30 days’ written notice and/or without paying the applicable £25 early cancellation fee, a £25 penalty charge will be applied to their account.
• This balance must be cleared in full before the member is permitted to book or attend any future classes, purchase credits, or rejoin any classes or events at/by Samata Pilates.
• Samata Pilates reserves the right to recover any outstanding fees before reinstating access to services.
Freezing Your Membership
Memberships may be frozen for up to 1 month per calendar year (for example, due to travel or medical reasons).
Freeze requests must be made in writing and are subject to a minimum 30 days’ notice, which will begin from the date of the next scheduled monthly payment, not the date the request is received.
For long-term illness or injury, supporting evidence may be required.
Memberships cannot be frozen within the first 3 months of joining.
Any frozen period cannot be used as part of the 30 days’ notice required to cancel a membership.
Booking, Attendance & Strikes
Book all classes via the app/website.
If a class is fully booked, join the waitlist and you’ll be notified if a spot opens.
Cancel 24+ hours before class to retain your credit.
Cancel within 24 hours:
1 strike added.
2 strikes = 1-week class booking suspension.
No credits or time are reimbursed during this suspension.
Adverse Weather Conditions
Our standard cancellation policy (24-hour notice) applies to all bookings, including cancellations due to adverse weather conditions where the studio remains open. If the studio cancels a class due to weather or other operational reasons (including low bookings or instructor unavailability), the session will be cancelled by the studio and your credit will be returned.
PERK: Where notice is received of a cancellation in the 24 hours before the class and the studio is able to fill the place, the credit will be returned to the member.
• No-shows incur a £5 fee, auto-charged to your card without notice. A no-show is considered anyone who cannot/does not attend a class without giving notice prior to the class start time. Any notice received after the class start time will be subject to the £5 fee.
• Memberships are for the specified number of classes, any additional classes can be booked as and when required via the app/website at the price presented when booking. Contact us directly via SMS to book additional classes at a reduced rate.
PERK: Member Perk – Extra Classes at a Reduced Rate
Once a member has used up all of their included credits, they may book additional classes at a reduced member rate by contacting the studio via text message only.
Reformer Pilates: £16.50 per class
Mat Pilates: £7.50 per class
This discounted rate is available only when booked directly via text message with the studio. If members book additional classes through the online timetable, they will be charged at the standard pay-as-you-go rate shown at the time of booking.
PERK: Birthday Perk 2026: Bring one friend for FREE to one class with you in your birthday month. Must be a new customer. Where the friend does not attend or cancels at any point after booking, their space will be removed and the perk cannot be used again on another class or with another person.
PERK: Same-Day Class Swaps: Same-day class swaps are offered as a member perk and are subject to availability and approval by the studio. Members may request to swap from one class to another on the same calendar day only. Swaps to future dates are not permitted.
All same-day swap requests must meet the following conditions:
• A minimum of 2 hours’ notice must be given prior to the original class start time
• The class the member is moving out of must be above minimum attendance numbers, not including the member
– If the class is only at minimum numbers including the member, the swap request will be declined to ensure fairness to other attendees and the instructor
• Swap requests must be made via call, text message, or WhatsApp only
– Requests sent via social media platforms (including Instagram or Snapchat) will not be accepted, as messages may not be received
• All swap requests must be reviewed and approved by the studio
– Approval is not guaranteed
– If confirmation is not received, the member must assume the swap has not been approved and remain booked into their original class
Members with a roaming membership may request to swap between studio locations on the same day, subject to availability and approval.
Same-day swaps are not an automatic entitlement and may be withdrawn or amended at the studio’s discretion.
Lateness & Class Minimums
Over 5 minutes late = no entry, no credit back.
Minimum class numbers:
Reformer: 2 people
Mat: 3 people
We’ll notify you 1 hour before start time if we cancel due to low booking. Cancelled classes do not extend membership periods or credit validity, and any unused credits will not be carried over, including where a cancellation falls on the final day of a membership.
If bookings meet the minimum but attendees don’t show up, the class goes ahead.
Studio Conduct
Respect studio rules, personal space, and hygiene.
Phones must be on silent or off.
Disruptive behaviour may result in membership cancellation without refund.
Health & Responsibility
You confirm you’re medically fit for class participation.
Unsure? Consult your doctor first.
Inform your instructor of any injuries or conditions — every time you attend.
Classes are voluntary. You are responsible for your safety.
Don’t understand an exercise? Ask the instructor to clarify.
If we believe you are unfit to continue for any reason, we may stop your participation without refund.
Complimentary Classes, Promotions & Challenge Prizes

Changes to Membership or Terms
• The studio reserves the right to modify the membership terms and conditions, fees, or services at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes at least 30 days in advance.
• The studio reserves the right to modify the class timetable at any time.
It is your responsibility to keep your contact details up to date.
Personal Data and Privacy
• The studio collects and uses member information in accordance with its privacy policy. Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
• Members can request to access or update their personal data by contacting hello@samatapilates.co.uk.
Privacy & Data
We protect your personal data in line with our privacy policy.
Your data won’t be shared without your consent unless legally required.

Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a class, bundle, or membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. This agreement applies with every booking you make.
