We’re so excited to introduce Wunda Chair Pilates to the timetable at Samata Pilates Heckmondwike.
The Wunda Chair is a powerful, compact piece of Pilates equipment designed to challenge strength, balance and control in a completely different way to the reformer. Don’t let its size fool you, this class delivers. Ideal for beginners as well as those wanting to progress their Pilates practice
With a smaller surface area and a spring-loaded pedal system, the chair demands precision and control, making it incredibly effective for targeting deep stabilising muscles.
Expect a dynamic, challenging session that will leave you feeling strong, energised and accomplished.

Pilates (includes Dumbbell Pilates)
Our Pilates classes are designed to strengthen, lengthen and restore your body through controlled, low-impact movement. Focusing on core strength, posture, mobility, and overall body awareness, each session delivers a full-body workout that supports how you move both in and out of the studio.
We offer both traditional Pilates and Dumbbell Pilates, where light weights are incorporated into classic movements to add an extra strength and stability challenge while maintaining precision and control.
All exercises can be adapted, making these classes suitable for all abilities, whether you’re just starting out or looking to progress your practice.




Reformer Pilates (including Jumpboard)
Explore our Reformer Pilates classes to build strength, improve posture, and enhance overall body control through low-impact, resistance-based movement. Using the reformer machine, each session delivers a full-body workout focused on core strength, stability, and mobility.
We offer a clear progression of levels — Foundations, Fundamentals, and Elevate — along with a Hybrid Fundamentals/Elevate class for those transitioning between levels.
Our Reformer Jumpboard classes add a dynamic, cardio-focused element using low-impact jumping sequences to build stamina, coordination, and strength.
Suitable for all abilities, with guidance and support provided throughout your progression.
Dumbbell Strength
A structured strength-training class focused on building muscle, improving strength, and developing confidence with weights.
Using dumbbells, you’ll work through targeted exercises designed to progressively challenge your body, with a focus on form, control, and effective strength development. Expect a mix of upper body, lower body, and full-body work to help you get stronger and more capable over time.
Suitable for all levels, with options to increase or decrease intensity depending on your experience.

This is a full body Pilates strength workout performed on a stable base with the use of springs for resistance. Suitable for people of all abilities.
